I am available year round for garden food growing coaching. If you have never raised vegetables before, let me help answer your questions and get you started successfully. If you live in the city and have a front or backyard where you would like to plant an urban vegetable garden, or if you prefer to garden in containers, I can help you reach your home food-growing goals. Budget gardening is my specialty! I am a Master Gardener with over eight years of experience in gardening, including vegetable gardening, in Southwest Washington.

What can a food-growing coach do for me?

I will come to your home within reasonable driving distance of Camas, Washington (unreasonable driving distances will incur an additional transportation stipend) and take a look at where you want to grow vegetables, and find out what types of vegetables you want to grow. I will then offer advice about:

• - the best spot on your property for growing vegetables
• - how to amend the soil
• - how to create your own complete organic fertilizer
• - how to start seeds yourself
• - how to prepare a vegetable bed
• - how to water
• -how to set up containers for growing vegetables (if interested in this topic)
• -how to set up vegetable beds that can keep you in salad greens and other vegetables throughout the winter months
• -plus advise on the best vegetable varieties suitable for our climate for you to try

I will offer advice; you will then take that advice and act on it by preparing your own beds, starting seeds, transplanting seeds and growing the plants on in your garden. After the initial consultation, you may ask follow-up questions as you progress with your new vegetable garden via email.

Garden Food Growing Coaching Consultation Fee: $25 cash at the time of consultation includes my travel to your home and the on-site garden consultation.
