I am available year round for garden consultations. If you have an uninspired area in your back yard or front yard that you want to make more liveable and user friendly, if you are looking to create garden living spaces within your garden, if you have some existing borders that you want to give a revamp, if you just have some trouble spots that need a little inspiration, I can help. Budget gardening is my specialty! I am a Master Gardener with over nine  years of experience in gardening, including vegetable gardening, in Southwest Washington.

What can a garden consultation do for me?

I will come to your home within reasonable driving distance of Camas, Washington (unreasonable driving distances will incur an additional transportation stipend) and take a look at your property, focusing on the areas where you want help. I will ask you a few questions including how much time you have to devote to gardening and what you would like to add to your current garden, and I will then offer advice as applicable about:

• - how to add living spaces to your garden
• -recycled gardening: ways to reuse and repurpose for a beautiful garden
• - how to place garden paths and hardscape aesthetically
• - how to create borders with year-round interest
• -how to garden using Northwest native plants
• -how to attract hummingbirds and other birds to your garden
• - how to add seating to your garden
• - how to shape your garden into garden rooms
• - how to decorate your garden
• -how to set up containers around and in your garden(if interested in this topic)
• -plus advise on the plants, including low-water plants, suitable for our climate for you to try

I will offer advice; you will then take that advice and act on it by preparing your own beds, finding and planting the plants, putting in the paths and/or adding the decorations in your garden. After the initial consultation, you may ask follow-up questions as you progress with your new garden via email.

Garden Consultation Fee: $25 cash at the time of consultation includes my travel to your home and the on-site garden consultation.
